Project Runway Season 9 Episode 10

Wow people, what an amazing episode on Project Runway this past week.

For this challenge, the designers had to create a look that was 70's inspired for:

For this week's challenge, the designers were given a 100$ budget to create a 70's inspired look and then half way threw the episode they were given another 50$ to create a 2nd matching look.

As it happened, designer Anya Ayoung Chee lost her 100$ budget somewhere in her woman's purse. For those of you who don't know what a woman's purse is, it's a dress with no pockets so women use their bra to stuff money and other valuables in.

Anyhoo, with no money to buy fabric, another designer from the show, Anthonny Ryan gave Anya his left over money to help her buy fabric which came up to exactly 11.50 cents.

I thought that was a very nice gesture from Anthony Ryan and as far as I'm concerned, he totally gets the Project Runway Mr. Congeniality award for for that one. Now of course all of you know if Mr. Anthony Ryan would have done the same thing for me he totally would've gotten a blow job. : ) And of course who should get booted from this week's episode - Anthony Ryan, as the saying goes, I guess nice guys do finish last.

It's was probably for the best Anya lost her money because this challenge brought out the best in her hence giving her the win in this week's challenge.

She wowed the judges with an amazing jumpsuit and high wasted pants with a cute print.

Here's the first look. Micheal Kors really didn't like the color of the top but I thought it very pretty, it matched the pants very well and gave her total look an exciting exotic feel.

Anya's winning look was this jumpsuit with a another killer print. It's very obvious you can tell Anya has been incorporationg her Trinidad culture into her fashion because her design aesthetic is very ethnic.

Guest judge Olivia Palermo from Piperlime.com was on hand to help pick the winning looks.

I was really impressed with Olivia Palermo, listening to her style critique's definitey made my style palette 110% better. You can tell by her remarks she really does have a fresh out look on what's hip and modern in the world of fashion.

And I'm very sure everyone else on the planet was listening to what Olivia had to say because Bert's 2nd place winning look which was also made available on piperlime.com and his dress sold out in a matter of minutes.
