Today's Weigh in: 256
I'm alright with that. The reason my weight has been fluctuating is because I've been weighing myself in differnet spots of my house. Today I weighed myself in the bathroom and when I weighed myself in the hallway, my weight was different. For some reason I'm heavier in the bathroom, so from now on I will be weighing myself in the hallway. My point being, find one weight scale in spot and keep with that. Alright, I'm still excited about September, here we go!

When I finally get to play my first crowd of 2500 people, that's when I can break down, cry, and say to myself, "Yes, I finally did it" . ♥

Oh girl...
oh girl.... not once but twice... even though she got knocked down, what I admire about her the most is how she got back up and kept going... go girl... don't let a little thing like 6" stilletto's or a gaffing 15 ft pendulum stop you from finishing your walk!
Week 17
Today's Weigh in: 256
I'm up 2 lbs this week which is alright, I thought last weeks weight loss was a little too dramatic so I'm not surprised I'm up this week. This is probaly the hardest hump for me to get over, I always level off in my mid 250's. I'm still waiting to bust into the 240's and I know when I get there,it's going to be a cake walk. Right now I'm battling some major stubborn belly fat.
This month isn't over yet! Staying motivated!

Tighter.... Tighter
Here's one of my top 5 personal love songs of all time.
I'd like to dedicate this song to every muthafucker whose ever broken my heart. You had power over me because I gave it to you, it may have not been real for you and that's probably what hurt me the most.

SF International Comedy Competition
Wow guys, fabulous news! After auditioning at the Club Deluxe in SF tonight, I just got into this year's San Francisco International Comedy Competition 2010.
Wow, are you kidding me? I can't believe it, I'm super duper excited.
Honestly, I don't even care about winning, I just want to be apart of it and go have so much fun!
I actually wanted to be apart of the competition when I was a newbie and I'm so glad I didn't enter the competition back in the day because I would've been so unprepared and not ready. Even now I have a good handle on my stand up but I know l still have so much to learn.
Robin Williams, Ellen Degeneres, Sinbad are some of the names that are synoymous the SF International Comedy Competition. But what most people don't know, so are Roseanne Barr and Margaret Cho. Rosie and Margaret never made it to the finals and look how there careers ended up. So anyway you look at it, only good things can come from this competition.
I'm on such an incredible high and it feels wonderful, in lieu of this occasion, I decided to drink a small glass of Pepsi tonight, which means I'll be staying awake a little bit longer than normal, which is fine because right now sleep is the last thing on my mind. Yay!
My mom is funny, she said the same thing Kori Ono said tonight, "I really hope you're not planning on showing your titty's during the competition" . I think most of my readers should know by now how I reacted to that and if you don't, then you should probably stop reading my blogs.
Alright guys, I'm in the 2nd group from the 21st - 26th!
Wish me luck!

Sugar Daddy Week
This blog is dedicated to every lazy woman out there who doesn't want to get a job and depend on some old gheezer to pay her Sprint bill, go girl.
Here's the most wanted Sugar Daddy in the world, only because he's so old and about to die. It's no coincidence that he's has more playboy models around him than every before, they're all vying for a spot in his will. Better work hard ladies and put it in overtime if you want some of that furniture!
This is music mogel Phil Spector, only God and Phil know how much money this man really has. Ladies, if you're going after his gold I give you mad props, you'd have to be one pretty dedicated gold digger to wake up to that every morning.
This is Gerry Buss, owner of the L.A. Lakers, this man reeks of scotch and viagra. I'd be scared of him going down on me only because it looks like his dentures might fall out.
Bill Maher is one of the most astute political comedians of our time, if you're into crossword puzzles, he might be a match for you.
Oh girl... oh girl.... Steven Tyler makes great music but oh girl.... she looks like she need a warm towel on her forehead...
I saved the best for last, movie star Harrison Ford aged very well, if there was any old hunk who I'd want to die on top of me or below me for that matter, I'd want it be Harrison.
So there you have it ladies, start your engines!

The Day After
Alright, it's the day after my DVD shoot and I'm doing great!
When Richard Pryor did his first live taping, it was at the Improv in NY, for a mostly small White audience. I believe the title for that DVD was called - "Still Smokin" or atleast I think it is, that title was either him or Cheech & Chong.
So anyhoo, knowing that, I had one up on Rich lastnight because my mostly small audience was mixed, which made the mood very live, exciting and intimate, it was awesome!
I am very grateful for all the people who came out to my taping lastnight, your support means a lot to me! Thank You!
The DVD shoot was fun, it's probably going to take about a month to produce, so when it's done I'll definitely let everyone know! The special bonus features we're putting together for the DVD are going to be dope so I can't wait!
Thanks again everybody!

Pre Show
I am on the eve of my very first stand up comedy DVD Taping. Oh gosh, it feels like X-mas all over again. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.
This evening I finally worked out the final set for my show. It was a doozy and I'm so glad I didn't wait until the last minute to put it together. If it's one thing I learned about putting a set list together, I'm totally not like Kathy Griffin at all. Kathy basically writes her set list an hour before each show. For me, this process took atleast a couple of days and several revisions to get it right.
Usually when I do a show, it has to feel right, and right now it feels about 99.9999% right. I like to leave 0000001.% for margin of error. You know me, I gotta be ready for anything.
I started researching my old journals earlier this week to see if there was anything I wanted to include and that whole journal surfing session took me about 4 hours to complete. These past couple of days I've been trying to play the set out in my mind like it's a Kung Fu fight at the mastery level, instead of attacking your opponent right away, you meditate and visualize your every move a head of time, like a well thought out dance sequence.
I probably must've jumbled my set list 20 times before I finally got it to flow, transition, and make sense at the end. For that, I'd like to thank my old English College Professor from Haskell - Dr Low. She showed me how to write different papers and link them together at the end. It's funny how I should be using those techniques way later in comedy. The other person I'd like to thank is Margaret Cho. She's inspired a great deal of my work and watching many of her one woman shows over the years has been a great help. When you guys see my stand up comedy DVD, you'll see a lot of her influence, as well from my other favorite comedians like Maria Bamford, Mike Pace, and Paul Mooney.
Here goes everything!

My Journey
I was flipping threw my old comedy journals tonight, looking for old material for this weeks DVD taping, and so far, I could tell it's been quite a journey.
Just going threw my notes, it brought back so many memories. By the 2nd and 3rd year, I could definitely see an improvement in my writing. I could also see my persistence for writing on topics that were getting me nowhere. There was lots of American Indian issues that I wanted to speak on but I kept hitting the wall, so I had to let those issues go and comeback to them at a later time. And to this day, there's still some of those issues where I just can't seem to find the funny, I'm sure I'll crack those ideas into jokes someday!
There were definitely a couple of times in my old journals where I was totally blowing smoke up my own ass. Here's a good example, I started off a journal by saying - "Okay, from now on, I'm going to be clean & clever" , and two pages later I was like, "fuck, piss, shit, dick" .
Too funny. I'm glad I was smart enough to journal my experiences then and even now.
Alright, my first run threw is tomorrow night, I found some old great gems to include! I'm glad I spent the time going threw my old stuff, it's just going to make my tapings all the more special!

Week 15
Today's Weigh in: 260
I knew this past week was going to suck when I weighed in today. I probably ate atleast 8 times this week that were really heavy and today it showed. And plus my bowel movements weren't moving either. The days it does moves is when I eat yogurt, cereal with high iron, salads, and sometimes ice cream, that's when it helps my body process the food and it gets it out've my body. This week that didn't happen so much. It sucks gaing 3 lbs but it's not the end of the world. I just gotta chalk this one down as a relapse.
Gotta Keep Going!

Iron Ladies: The Next Generation
Posted to Gaycast by cydzeigler on August 03, 2010
Here's a clip of the Thai Gay volleyball team from the Gay Games in Germany. These Thai players remind me of the Native queens I use to play volleyball with when I was younger! Who ever said you can't be feminine and play ball! These girls are just dizzy! Luvvssss them!

Week 14
Today's Weigh in: 257
Yay, I lost 1 lb and I will take it. On July 1st I weighed 265. So for the month of July, I lost a total of 8 lbs. I'm sure I probably could've lost more if I didn't munch on the occasional cheeseburger or pizza slice but I'm very happy with this month's results.
Again, what's really been helping out is my excercise activities. I've been running the lake atleast 4 times a week.
My stomach has gotten smaller and I'm happy about that. So let's see if I can stay on this stride and keep it up. The month of July was about getting back on track, the month of August is going to be about maintaining my stride and sticking to my diet. Hopefully, I'll be better able to manage my eating habits.
Personal side note. I ate a big salad yesterday but the only problem with that was it weigh almost a 1 lb. I know this because it was from a salad bar where they you pay the weight of the food. Anyhoo, even though it was the healthy choice, I gotta remember it's all about portioning my intake as well!
Alright, stay strong!
